If you are planning a Valentine's Day Party, or would like to leave a little Valentine memento on a co-worker's desk, then this idea will help you to make a small party favor that can also be used as a little gift item.

You'll need:

  • Valentine motif cup, box, basket, bowl (small plastic bucket with handle is shown here, I picked these up at a dollar store, 4-for-$1)

  • Valentine candies (individually wrapped is best, little chocolate hearts shown here)

  • Valentine Note Cards (these are free printables, available at: Put a Valentine in a Lunch Bag or Briefcase!

  • tissue paper, curl ribbon, and a hole punch

Cut a small piece of tissue paper, enough to fold and then "stuff" the Valentine candy bucket. Select a handful of candies.

Punch a hole in a Valentine Note Card, and cut a length of curl ribbon.

Stuff the tissue paper into the candy bucket and fill with candies.

Write a personal note, if desired, on the Valentine Note Card, and then use the curl ribbon to tie the card onto the handle.

You can easily adapt this idea to whatever you are going to use as the candy holder. If you use a paper cup, then you can use the hole punch to put a hole in the rim of the cup in order to tie on the Valentine Note Card.

Be sure to "shop around" your local dollar store and Walgreens! Both stores have lots of small items like this, very reasonably priced. It is easy to create your own Valentine Party Favor or Co-Worker Gift!

Here's another easy idea for a party favor or colorful little gift you can leave on a co-worker's desk. It is also the perfect size to slip inside a lunch bag or briefcase.
